Wholehearted Adventures
Wholehearted Adventures was created to share meaningful, heart-led stories that celebrate children with disabilities and all their wonderful differences. Through uplifting tales filled with imagination, courage, and kindness, our stories inspire children to dream big, stay hopeful, and believe in their incredible potential.
Founded by author Mathew Castley, a father with lived experience and a professional background in the disability sector, Wholehearted Adventures is deeply rooted in advocacy and understanding. Mathew is passionate about creating stories that reflect real children and real experiences — stories where children can see themselves, feel valued, and know they belong.
At Wholehearted Adventures, we believe every child deserves to read books about kids just like them. By representing disability in a positive, authentic way, our stories help normalise difference, build empathy, and foster awareness and acceptance for all children.

Mathew Castley
Mathew is the author behind Wholehearted Adventures and a passionate advocate for children of all abilities. With many years of experience working in the disability support industry, Mathew brings a deep understanding of advocacy, compassion, and inclusive practice to everything he creates.
As both a father and an author, Mathew values connection, clear communication, and helping families feel informed, supported, and empowered. Through his stories, he is dedicated to creating welcoming, meaningful books that reflect real children and real experiences, guiding families and young readers on a journey of understanding, inclusion, and wholehearted belief in every child’s potential.
Aquib M.
Aquib M. grew up in Abbottabad, Pakistan. He began illustrating at the age of three. Aquib attended Hazara University, Mansehra (HU), where he earned a BFA in Illustration and was awarded a gold medal for his academic excellence. He was the first student to publish his book in the university library for design students.
Aquib has a strong passion for Football, games, and art.
